WHAT NEEDS POWER
THE CEREMONY
A mic and a small speaker for the officiant, and music for the walk. Barely a load — but it's the load that must not fail. A silent set sits out of the frame and out of the recording.
THE RECEPTION
DJ or band, string and up-lighting, a projector for the slideshow, the photo booth. This is where the 6.5 kW vs 8 kW decision is made — a live band with a backline wants the bigger unit.
THE BAR AND CATERING
Fridges, freezers, coffee urns and blenders draw more than people expect, and they surge at startup. Keep them on the 220V side and give the set headroom.
Weekend rate covers rehearsal to brunch. Friday rehearsal dinner, Saturday wedding, Sunday brunch — one Weekend (Fri–Sun) rental at J$20,000 / J$26,000 rather than three separate days.
Place it downwind and out of shot. Behind a hedge, a wall or the catering tent, exhaust pointed away from guests, with cable run to a distribution point near the DJ and bar.
Ask the DJ and caterer for their wattage. Every vendor knows their gear. Add it up, leave 25% headroom, and read our sizing guide if the numbers are close.
One order for the whole day. Generator, ice bags, cooler bins, fans, round tables and folding chairs all book on the same order form and arrive on one truck — one less vendor on the wedding-morning call sheet.
